Two things that are making me happy right now: it's Saturday and blueberries are in season. My husband and I love to pick fresh blueberries this time of year, and I challenge myself to find new ways to combine them into food (savory or sweet) and of course... cocktails! I also think we can all agree Rosé is the official wine of summer, so I decided to mix blueberries and Rosé to make the ultimate end of summer spritzer! You'll also need gin, St Germain (elderflower liqueur) and fresh lemon juice. I'm enjoying one on my back patio I type!
St Germain is very floral and sweet making it an ideal contributor to any cocktail that errs on the boozy or tart side to balance it out nicely. I opted to use St Germain alone, rather than adding simple syrup/honey/agave/etc. to add some sweetness but keep this cocktail tart. This guy packs a punch, but you'd never know it. Beware! 😉
