Cheesy Broccoli

Serves: 4-6
- broccoli heads (about 2 cups) chopped and steamed
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 cups milk (2% or whole)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Steam broccoli with a steamer or in a strainer over a pot of boiling water.
- Melt butter in medium-sized saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in flour, slowly, a little at a time. It will begin clumping.
- Stir in milk, slowly, a little at a time. It will begin to thicken.
- Once sauce has thickened season with salt, and pepper.
- Turn off heat and add cheese. Stir until cheese has melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Transfer broccoli to a baking dish.
- Pour sauce over top and stir to incorporate.
- Bake for about 20 minutes.
