Frosé is the officially drink of summer and Labor Day weekend is essentially the Sunday of summer sooo here's to Sunday Funday! (Or Monday Funday I guess...?) Anyway sharing with you how to make your own frosé which is perfect for taking to the pool, beach or out on the boat as pictured above. And it's a lot cheaper than the frosé you've been buying all summer at bougie bars.
You will need rosé, obvs, strawberries, fresh lemon juice, sugar and water.
Pour your rosé into a 9x13 baking dish and freeze (5-6 hours).
Meanwhile in a small saucepan over medium heat bring sugar and water to boil, stirring until dissolved. Add strawberries and simmer for a few minutes then remove from heat and allow to sit for 20 mins.
Strain through a double strainer muddling the juices from the strawberries out. Chill in the fridge until ready to use.
Your frosé should be almost solid, but it won't freeze completely due to the alcohol. Simply chip away and it should come apart easily. Transfer to a blender. Add lemon juice, strawberry syrup and crushed ice and process for 30 seconds. Place blender in freezer for about 30 minutes then process quickly again right before serving.
Enjoy and happy Labor Day!!
