Gimlets are a classic cocktail. Traditionally they are 2 parts gin to 1 part lime juice. Of course I had to snazz it up a bit.
I kept the gin and lime juice but added basil and pomegranate. By the way I'm enjoying this New Riff KY Wild Gin. Have you guys tried it?
Muddle basil leaves and pomegranate in a shaker in the gin and lime juice. Add ice and shake for 30-60 seconds.
Strain into a frosted coupe glass. Garnish with basil leaves and pomegranate seeds.

Ingredients
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 medium pomegranate, flower removed and sliced
- 3-4 fresh basil leaves
- ice
Instructions
- Add basil, squeezes of pomegranate/seeds, gin and lime juice to a shaker.
- Muddle well.
- Add ice and shake 30-60 seconds.
- Strain into a frosted coupe glass.
- Garnish with basil and pomegranate seeds.
