It's finally starting to feel like spring here in the Midwest! I love this time of year when it warms up, flowers start blooming, and everything becomes green again. We didn't have too brutal of a winter this year, so I guess I can't complain. But either way, spring is always welcome! My boyfriend picked me up a bottle of this Sparkling Rosé from Cooper's Hawk as one of my Valentine's Day gifts this year, and I decided to save it for when we moved into our new place. Instead of just drinking champagne straight, I tend to like to incorporate it into cocktails. For this one I mixed together a little vodka and St. Germain then topped it off with the Sparkling Rosé and some fresh raspberries. If any of you are on a gluten-free diet, try Tito's! It is made from yellow corn as opposed to other vodkas which are most commonly made from potatoes or wheat. This also gives it a slightly sweet aftertaste. St. Germain is a French elderflower liqueur. It is definitely my favorite liqueur with a floral and fragrant taste. When I worked in the industry we jokingly called it the "bacon" of liqueur, because it tastes good mixed with just about anything! This drink is spring in a champagne flute! Cheers!
