Well my Monday is going a lot better than my usual Monday's! I'm up at my boyfriend's parent's lake house for the week at Lake Michigan. The best feeling in the world is waking up to complete silence on the water and knowing you have zero obligations! We are taking full advantage of the grill this week so expect lots of grilled recipes coming your way! 🙂 Before we take the boat out today I wanted to share with you this Sriracha-Orange Buffalo Brat recipe!
Start out by making your Sriracha-Orange Buffalo sauce. In a medium sized sauce pan melt butter over medium-high heat. Add Sriracha, fresh orange juice, cayenne, garlic powder, and onion powder and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes until sauce thickens. I just used regular Johnsonville Brats. Coat brats in the sauce and let sit in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Make sure to reserve enough sauce for serving as well. Poke brats with a fork before grilling then grill at high heat until they have nice char marks on them (about 10 minutes).
Prepare your other toppings. I use shaved celery, pickles, dijon mustard, and crumbled feta cheese or blue cheese. Diced red onion also goes great with this recipe, however I am not a fan of raw onions so I leave them off mine. 🙂
Add your brat to a grilled bun, top with remaining Sriracha-Orange Buffalo sauce and add the rest of your toppings. Enjoy!
